There seems to be a lot more in the blog-o-sphere about Google Reader shutting down than there is about the new pope.  I think I only saw 1 entry about the new pope … now I’ll have to look at the news sites to see if that really happened.

I think the reaction to Google Reader shutting down, shows there may be a short term opportunity for building a competing product … which of course wouldn’t be easy to do in the short term.
