About my 'Interesting Finds'

by Jason Haley 4. November 2005 13:54

I know there are a few readers out there that like my 'Interesting Finds' posts, so I thought I should explain what they really are ...

I live in Salem, MA, but work in Newton MA ... which means I have 90 min commute in to work in the morning and 90 minute commute home in the evening.  40 minutes of that commute is on the subway, but another 40 minutes is on the commuter rail - which is where I do most of my blog reading.  So really my 'Interesting Finds' entries are really just a listing of the entries that I tag to followup and read offline when I get the time (usually on the weekend).  That is why sometimes there are two posts a day (morning commute and evening commute) ... that is also why the entries tend to not be the news that everyone is posting on (ie. VS.Net 2005 RTM - since I get full coverage from the 20 - 40 people talking about it, there is no need to tag a followup).  Anyways, I scan A BUNCH of blogs to get the distilled listing that I post to follow up on later ... and that is basically all the 'Interesting Finds' entries are.
