The sparkline is for the findings since Thanksgiving. I'm still working on how to chart the findings compared to how many total items it took to get to this number. Problem is if I put them both on the same chart it needs to be too big to read…

hi Jason

here's an example of a sparkline that combines two graphs with differing scales:

i don't know what existing sparkline libraries would allow for that kind of feature -- but it's pretty effective, since the two graphs are of different types (line versus bar) and the bar graph is in a subdued colour.

also -- i was just reading Edward Tufte's original chapter on sparklines and he specifically says not to put a border around them, in order to "reduce visual clutter".

this graphing business is a bit of a pain really isn't it ;-)

lb - thanks, that example looks like it would work. I'll have to read Tufte's article and try to get this graphing business under control soon :)
