Interesting Finds: Week after Thanksgiving 1

Due to Monday night football traffic and the snow I spent an hour of my prime blogging time standing downtown Bellevue waiting on my bus tonight ... so not as many findings as I was hoping to post, but I found a few.

Blogging stuff
+help.net - Add an RSS Feed Through a Custom Control and Creating an Atom XML Feed … I found these interesting because I'm throwing around the idea of creating a set of controls and providers that would provide about all the blogging functionality a guy needs (single blog for a website) … still in the theory stage right now … but would like to just set a few things in the config file, drop a provider on the page, set some properties then bind some 'blog' controls to the provider ...

Architecture stuff
+Christopher G. Lasater - Advanced Patterns of Software Architecture … this is a free "chapter" titled "Thinking like an Architect", I haven't read it yet - but it looks like a good bus article. Printer Version

Utilities
+Joe Morel - Another Power Toy...the Resource Refactoring Tool … sounds promising. You can find more info over on the CodePlex site at Resource Refactoring Tool - there is a good screen print on that site.
+Bertan - Assigning shortcut keys to add-in commands in Visual Studio … Sometimes it is nice to have a reminder that you really should setup some shortcut keys if you are using the same commands in vs.net addins over and over.

Debugging stuff
+Tess - ASP.NET Crash: Bad CacheItemRemovedCallback - Part II … Tess has some more good advice on using CacheItemRemovedCallback and what can happen if used improperly.

Career stuff
+Steve Pavlina - Dealing With Close-Mindedness … a nice little entry that could help us get through the holidays :) (along with all the other days)
