Interesting Finds - Guest Blogging Introduction

Guest Blogger - optionsScalper

With the cross-country move, Jason Haley and his wife have a lot of fun ahead.  While they are in transit, Jason asked that I continue the Interesting Finds column.  I'm guessing that Mrs. Haley doesn't want him stopping for connectivity and spending some of the trip in the navigator's seat with his head buried a laptop.  Man, wives ALWAYS take away ALL of the fun (yes, that is a joke).

So, Jason, to you and your wife, I wish you a safe trip.  Keep notes of your Interesting Finds along the way.  Please refrain from reporting on stuff like the the World's Largest Ball of Twine or photos of Paul Bunyan Statues, etc. ad nauseum.  Remember that most of us don't travel more than a few feet from bed to computer for our average work day, so it will be good to discover something else out there.

Anyways, for those of you that don't know me, let me give you a quick intro as I hope to provide reasonable coverage of all of the great posts that show up in the Haley spaces:

1.  Online, I'm optionsScalper; in real life, I'm Christopher J. Barwick (Chris).
2.  I make my living in a number of ways, but almost all of them involve .NET.
3.  I am the founder of JJB Research.  I will be blogging shortly at http://cs.jjbresearch.org/os.  My old blog is http://www.jjbresearch.org/acs/blogs/optionsScalper.
4.  I am co-founder of IronWake, LLC.  We are in the process of preparing for launch, and God willing, will launch our first product on 7/15/2006.
5.  I am a member of the Executive Committee for WI .NET User Group.  http://www.wi-ineta.org.
6.  I am a co-organizer of WBUG (with Nevin Goldstein), the Wisconsin BizTalk Users Group and will be the inaugural speaker on 5/16/2006.  http://www.wi-biztalk.org.
7.  I am an evangelist for F# and have just started the first F# community site - hubFS - THE place for F#.  http://cs.hubFS.net
8.  I love math in almost any form and love engaging in conversation and debate on matters in math and peripheral disciplines in computing (crypto, graph theory, automata theory, theory of computation, discrete math, blah blah blah).
9.  I have tons of other stuff going on, like most of my friends, but most of that stuff is boring .NET projects.

While Jason is gone, I'll post up the Interesting Finds and label them with (oS edition).  That way, you can ignore them if you'd like.  Let me know if I have missed anything.  You can reach me at os <(at)> NOSPAMjjbresearch.org with the obvious removal of NOSPAM.

I didn't realize that Jason had already left, so I'll be doing posts for Interesting Finds for April 26, 27 and 28th all titled for their appropriate days.  Bear with me as I try to keep up with a schedule for post reviewing that Jason has mastered and I and so many of you appreciate.
