- Take the train if you can
- If you must drive, get to Salem before noon and park at the train station for $2 (instead of the parking lots who will charge you $15)
- If there is a sign that says you will be towed (ie. Dunkin Donuts parking lot) ... expect to be towed
- Expect crowds (most merchants in Salem get the majority of their income from this time of year)
- If you really want to have fun, wear a costume - most people do
- Prepare for a late night ...
- And if you drive .. prepare for an even later night (there is not fast way out of Salem)
BTW: If you want to take the “Back Roads” into Salem, come in through Beverly - it will save you quite a bit of time.
