My next research project - Metadata and Assemblies

Last year I did a research project on Resource Files, this year I'm going to cover some of the other areas of a .Net file.  My goal is to learn all the pieces of metadata and the multiple ways it can be read/created, as well as bring in the research I did last year to create a more complete view of an assembly file.  This year I am going to cover both the managed and unmanaged view points.

The main utility I am aiming for this year is a poor man's ILDasm or Reflector, that want to be able to read in an assembly and dissect all pieces of it (including the IL, resources and metadata) ... so keep posted ...

I am also hoping that a code camp presentation will come out of this research ... but only time will tell!
