Wife is busy today ...

Sue is busy today so I am rebuilding my old laptop (finally) and documenting the installation.  It is going to be non-admin installation (logged in as administrator of course to install .. but the primary user is not admin), which means I'll have a little R&D to do today as I do the install.

A couple of years ago Tim Sneath put a system installation check list out on his blog ... which I couldn't find on the net anymore.  Good old backups!  Found in on one of my 2003 backup disks ;)  ... anyways I am using the document he created as inspiration for creating mine.  When I get it done, I'll stick it out on the web for anyone who is interested.

Also going through all my MSDN disks that have collected after 2 years a Universal CD subscription and 2 years of DVD subscription ... what the heck do you do with all the old ones????

well, you can put them in the microwave and decorate a wall or coffee table with the results.
